Acute onset of spondylolisthesis (lower back pain). Pain level was a 10. I could not straighten up. Dr. Souffrant prescribed Physical Therapy. That did the trick. Pain level is down to 0, 1 at the worse. I feel stronger as a result and avoided the next steps of drugs, shots or surgery. He said it was his job to keep me out of surgery, and he sure did his job! TRY PHYSICAL THERAPY! It worked for old and overweight me : )

I have dealt with lower back pain for many years. After a CAT scan showed the severity of the arthritis in the area, I scheduled a time to meet with Dr. Souffrant. His professionalism, great bedside manner and extensive knowledge of options that could be tried were just what I was looking for. After a plan was put into place – the results of the procedure brought me no more lower back pain. I strongly recommend for anyone dealing with back issues to make an appointment to meet with Dr. Souffrant.

I made an appoint with Dr. Souffrant for a second opinion after I was told I would have to endure the pain that there was nothing that could be done other then pain pills. That it was my hip. I had completed pt and shots in my hip the pain was worse radiating down my leg at times. I refused pain meds. My first appt Dr. Anyangwe said what he thought was wrong a pinched nerve in my back but he wanted me to consult with Dr Souffrant. So I did. Appointments are scheduled quickly. On my first visit with Dr Souffrant he told me it was not my hip it was my back but no one had ever MRI my back. When the Mri came in Dr Souffrant sat and showed me on his computer the nerve and the bulging disk, He explained everything and told me my options. I opted for the shot. He then explained the shot and what to expect. He is a very kind and smart Dr who explains everything.He put the disk in his computer and showed me the nerve and the disk. Made me feel at ease. He told me if the shot hurt let him know and he would numb it more. The shot hurt a little but the relief I got made it all worth it. The wait time at the office may be a little long but the care you get makes up for that. I would rather wait and know I was getting the best care then be hurried and get crappy care. These people at this office care they listen and that makes all the difference

Dr Souffrant is the absolute best!! He quickly diagnosed my CRPS and performed a Stellate Ganglion Nerve Block that helped my chronic pain tremendously!! He’s extremely knowledgeable and performed my procedure with a sure, steady hand. The procedure was painless with the lidocaine that was first administered and I simply cannot believe the difference in my pain level. I highly recommend Dr Souffrant and the nerve block if your suffering from CRPS.

Dr Souffrant is fabulous! He quickly sees the issues involved & gives astute recommendations as to how to solve the problem. He offered me perfect advice for controlling my Back & Spine problems. I have followed his suggestions to the letter & they work!! Dr. Souffrant is definitely a Five Star Physician!!!

I have dealt with lower back pain and discomfort for many years. I met with Dr. Souffrant and was immediately impressed with his knowledge of my condition, as well as, his ability to explain what steps he would like to try to give me relief and his patience with answering my questions. His professionalism and care for me was wonderful. I am now pain free and with PT I hope to be stronger each day to live the active life I desire.

From the first time walking in to Emerge Healthcare in Melbourne FL, the ladies at the front desk are sweethearts. I walked in and could barely walk, sit or stand. I am seeing Dr. Jean Suffrant and he and his staff are so caring and knowledgeable. Yes, he hasn’t been in Florida long because he transferred from up North. We had just moved here and I needed a doctor fast. I need my back to be fixed, not pain medicine and after reviewing my MRI in depth Dr. Souffrant is amazing at his medical knowledge and his staff so cares for each patient.
